Information on Community Recognition Program for Thompson Township

At the July 12th, 2010 meeting of the Thompson Township Board, our Community Recognition Certificate was awarded to Allen Grimm. This initiative by Thompson Township is meant to draw attention to an organization, association or person that creates something special for the Manistique area. The board hopes that this will show gratitude for the good that comes from community service and to perhaps inspire others to find ways to make the community better. We believe the idea of leading by example and instilling pride in our residents and our community will most certainly have a long lasting positive influence. The Thompson Township Board plans to accept nominations from the public and then once a month the board will select a deserving recipient.
